We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

Mr N has something in his eyes now for 8hrs and won't go to medical centre!! I shall insist in the morning if not better!
I am wearing my new vest under my PJs, holey socks and a scarf in bed! Wonder why he sleeps in hijas room???
oh my Dad used to do this....he used to come home from work with bits in his eyes (long before the days of safety goggles) and wouldn’t let Mum do anything.
Morning...at last, the sun's shining. It was a really foggy start though and it's very cold, well below touching up temperature. :)

Yesterday was abysmal, dragged myself to the shops, very quiet but it made my headache worse so it ended up a category 5 mizz day. I was cheered up by a little dog though who spotted me from quite a distance and refused to move until I'd caught her and her owner up. She obviously remembered me from one chat we'd had last summer, I thought that was so sweet. (The owner finally remembered me when I showed her where I live).

Anything happening in the world today...? Oh, that....

Afternoon all
Very cold still but at least it's been bright.
I had the mizz day from hell yesterday .Mega dizzies and nausea and stayed in bed until tea time dosed on Stemetil as every time I tried to get up I was lurching about like a drunken sailor.
I still feel light headed and slightly swimmy so I've made an appt for the doctor as I think I need an MOT but of course it's a two week wait.I could see a locum but I'd rather see my own doctor.
I won't be watching that clown taking charge either Robinia, there are enough clowns in our own government. He must get through a large can of Elnett a week :)
Hope you're all ok though.
Oh Shaney dizziness and lurching?? That's what I had and it was a locum whom sorted memoir! I have an app for doctor on Monday together blood tests for thyroid, kidneys and everything else!
I'm watching it! My heart is in my boots! No one can follow Obama, a true gentleman! But now we have no choice so I'm just hoping Trump isnt the idiot he appears to be!
Been overcast but dry today and I've been busy cooking apricots pies! We are on a storm warning tonight and the locals are thing up their boats and battening down the hatches! They usually know!
Mr. N's eye appeared to be almost better this morning! I found some eyedrops which expired 12 hrs ago but he happily trusted them!! Seems to have worked!!
Oh dear, its raining on his parade!! Doesn't auger well!!!
On the last Father Brown, was it Martin Kemp playing the prison governor?
No neti it was Ian Reddington. He's been in lots of things. He played Vernon in Corrie for a while, Liz's musician boyfriend.
Oh gosh was it really? He was the market Manager in EastEnders years ago!
We are in the midst of a humongous storm!
didn't watch anyone being inaugurated, we went to see the light shows at Canary Wharf instead

Some cute installations there that respond to your movements. The Cosmic Radiophone was fun: by moving your hands upwards round it you can get water to rise up the tube playing music as it goes. Don't ask me how it's done; magic, I think.

A few were pretty dull too.
Morning...grey day here. Hope you survived the storm neti. I'd forgotten about him playing Tricky Dickie in EE. I love Martin Kemp.

That looks lovely jno, things have come a long way since I took Tarquin to see the Dancing Waters in Derby Assembly Rooms, lights and fountains set to classical music. It was free I think and we wandered in after doing some shopping. He was so mesmerised we had to sit through three half hour sessions before hunger finally made him want to leave....and I reminded him it was time he went back to college.
Haha, not really, he was about 3.

Hope you feel better today shaney. Funny you mention Elnett. I used it to remove a big patch of fibre tip pen ink from the throw on my bed and it worked. (Keep squirting it on the ink and dab until most of it has gone. Rub some vanish in, wash and it's all gone.) I'd left it while I got ready for bed and didn't notice the top had come off.

Please send in your handy tips ....
a much better choice Jno, although I did like Milania Trump’s outfit.

Hello all
Grey day ,cold and frosty first thing .
I still feel a bit swimmy but I'm necking Stemetil so I hope it goes off soon.
That looks lovely Jno .We went to the dancing waters years ago but that was on the IOW.
Yes hairspray is good for getting pen marks out of things.I squirt it at flies too..lol.Just don't squirt it under your arms by mistake !
Hello all! Yes indeed a grey and rainy day! We are just sitting and eating picky things! Most houses are leaking here. As the rain comes down at all angles! My kitchen is dripping bright over the cooker light so I'm not cooking, Mr N is!!
I think Melania Trump's face is motionless, hardly any expression! I rather like Little Boy Trump and feel exceedingly worried about him! He needs a normal life!
We saw the magnificent dancing fountains in Barcelona in the early 70s and also in Disneyland! They are lovely things!
For xmas my sister gave me an Enid Blyton book written in 1944 called A family Christmas, and Ive started reading it, it 's written as a story with inquisitive children in a family. Their mother or father explain why we do things at xmas, ie use holly, or misteltoe ot xmas trees. Its actually very interesting and some of the customs go right back to really ancient times. And its also just comforting to read.
I am a fan of vintage children’s books (the books are vintage not the children although I guess we could be described as vintage children?) Yes, they are veru comforting, also Georgette Heyer is.

The Visit Gilverton bit is really funny especially Mrs Tilling's recipes where she times things by singing lines from hymns.
I ought to go to bed ..night all.

Golly Shaney, I had forgotten this...I bought it on my kindle and never read it. oh and btw 3 verses of Jesu Lover of My Soul times a soft boiled egg if you lower it into boiling water!
