Hello,

Does anyone out there know how to remove halogen down light bulbs from the holders? They are recessed so difficult to get hold of. I have been told you push them up and turn them anti/clockwise but mine don't seem to want to move.

Has anyone got the definitive (or any) answer?

Kind Regards

Muj.

The last ones that I removed for an elderly friend, had small dimples to help you get a good grip.
You're doing the right thing - simply push and turn anti-clockwise.
They've prob been in a while so they're gonna be quite stubborn to remove .........

Hi muj200 Zeb is right with the tiny lick/moist suction pad but whatever you do dont push or pull it as you could damage the holder only turn the lamp anti clock to remove then wipe the new one after fitting to clean the lens hth Terry
hi if they are 12v ones they are usually held in by a circlip
gu10 types which are mains (230v) twist in like a normal bulb
I have used one of those plastic circles that are more typically used to get a good grip on a jamjar to create more friction between the tips of my fingers and the flat glass surface of the bulb.
