My joiner said I needed 3 square metres of tiles to finish off my kitchen. Went to store and the ones I like are 300 mm x 308 mm. How many would I need - useless at maths and staff weren't much help either.

Roughly 100.
Does it matter which way the tiles need to go? Allow for spacing.
Draw it out on squared paper. You'll see how well it fits, what cutting may be needed and how many to get. Allow for some breakage
It also depends what you mean by 3 square metres. I may have used the wrong interpretation
HaHa, I think you may have FF
I thought around 30

The ones I like are mosaic tiles and come in a 300 x 308 mm sheets. There is no way I need 100 sheets FF.
Ignore mine .What is the exact size of the area to be covered?
I agree 30-35. I first read it as 3 metres square (3 x3!)

Thanks FF, that's more like the number I was thinking of.
Safest way is to draw it out on squared paper. Factor in whether you can use left over bits of tiles - depends on pattern
The coverage should be on the individual box, that’s if they come in one.
