many thanks in anticipation

I have had a good hunt round google to find these answers and it is really difficult (which is why you are stuck with them I suppose)

I think 1750 JCF is Jockey Club Founded. References here:

I notice in 1991 Fredie Mercury (FM) died but not sure how that fits in with L D I F M.

Thank you so much. I had googled 'J C Founded' but had not received anything useful back. I was more into Corporations. Thanks again.

I have played around with the thought that it might be Lady Diana's Infamous Failed Marriage - what do you think?
Doubtful, I should imagine
1991 = L D I F M = Last Decade in First Millennium - although that isn't actually true, I'm banking on the question setters being idiots...

Thank you, Waldomcfroog, it is a possibility but in fairness to the compilers, there have not been any other "mistakes/typos". had it been B of LDIFM then it would be a certainty.

I have a little time left before submitting so i shall think on your suggestion, thank you. I think it is a better bet than the Lady Di one, don't you?

1852 I discovered is the number of metres in a nautical mile, but I can't make that knowledge fit the letters, can you?
not a clue if this is right at all but in 1852 the literist victor hugo made a speach about the mother of invention, so it could be
mother of invention the literist?

lol where that came from i dont know!
good luck
