Tuesday. Well, it's all calm now. Imogen has cost me two fence panels. Not too bad really.

It will be nice to go out today without getting blown all over the place.

Have a happy day everyone.

Not too bad thanks, and I must admit I am still in bed! The wind has dropped here too, good job I honestly nearly got blow over yesterday and that's no mean feat I can tell you!

It did get a bit breezy didn't it. With a bit of luck it will stay calm today, some mess to clear up.
We have our Quiz Night today so I shall do a few crosswords to sharpen my brains up. There are 6 of us - The Old Gits. We do a city break each year together her, this year we will be blessing Lisbon with our presence. It's great fun.
morning boaty xx margo xx
Question Author
Sounds good to me margo. I've never been to Lisbon, only to one or two coastal towns.

We used to go to Ireland twice a year. Start with a couple of days rioting in Dublin, as you do then tour a different region and always end up in Waterford, where I come from. always good fun.

Morning minty xxx How are you and mum this morning?
Morning Mintyx I've never been to Ireland but am told it's very beautiful in parts. My son had a friend who relocated to Belfast with his job and he likes it over there. May visit him for a coule of days and spread out from there.
I am fine ta , going up to stay for a few nights with mum , yesterday we ordered a nice floral pillow of roses to take on friday as it would be dad's 82nd birthday so she will be a bit more sad than normal..though she is getting a wee bit better each day, she has asked me to go to doc with her on Wednesday which is good as she refused point blank to let sis go in with her, she has agreed to bereavement counselling after I had a long talk with her, so will see what doc can arrange or reccommend...
Question Author
The counselling is a good plan minty. I found it very helpful. I'm still in touch with a few from the group.

I'm not surprised she wouldn't let sis go in with her. You tell the doc what sis was like, it will help. There may be a hospice near you that does similar to Longfield.
margo , lisbon is lovely..I used to stay in a lovely place like a castle high up

Question Author
Margo I was in Belfast during the troubles. It is a beautiful city, with much to see. Get him to take you for a drive along the coast road. It's amazing!
Question Author
That looks lovely minty.
willl make bread to take..a big pot of chilli to keep oh fed for a couple of dys...

looks terrible along soth coast , hope DT and Lady are ok...Jan and JJ ...we did not get a visit from Imogen at all, bit wet and breezy but nothing untoward...fingers and toes crossed I have not spoken too soon
I found the first year after the loss of my parents was the worst because everything is an 'anniversary' it became slightly easier after that. That's not to say that you don't still miss them of course but the pain is a bit easier to bear. Look after yourself as well as you Mum Minty x
thanks Margo..still one day at a time...the headstone foundations are going down this week and the stone follows after 2..so that will be another sad day to face...
Question Author
You're safe up there minty. Imogen has gone. I've got some repair work to do today.
hate hate hate the wind, does so much damage !
Question Author
Indeed it is minty. Mum will get back to 'normal' whatever that is, a lot quicker then, especially with sis out of the way.
