Saturday. All quiet this morning. So I may go down to the canal today, to see how the santa trips are going. Not a lot else going on.
Have a happy day everyone.

Over here to gain a drivers licence you pass a knowledge test, gain a learners permit. Then pass another knowledge test and a driving test to gain a "red" provisional drivers licence. Then pass another knowledge test to gain a "green" provisional drivers licence. Then pass yet another knowledge test to gain a "full" licence, just like us grownups have. 4 years in total.
My son went to the Roads and Maritime Service to sit his last test and gain a full licence only to be told by the "jobsworth" behind the counter that the computor says he can't apply until the year 3000.
His comment was "I don't think I'll need it then".
I'll go into battle mode with him next week, shame is it's 100ks to the nearest office....
...rant over.

Not to bad ta mate.
I had to go back to the hospice yesterday to re-take the photo's of the stars for Vera and minty's dad. I took some with a camera on Thursday, uploaded them to the poota, which then started sulking and wouldn't send them, so I took my wee kindle up and took therm on that. I could send them direct from it when I got back home.
Before you ask. The stars are gold coloured and every one has the name of someone who has left this world. The hospice has a 'Light up as life' service every year, and all the stars are on display on a tree. Afterwards they are put on trees around the grounds. I always do one for Vera, as does minty, now we have added minty's dad, I ask for them to be put together. So there are four two for Vera and two for minty's dad. Always a very emotive service.

That is very touching Boaty, what a wonderful thought, (the stars of course).
As for the RMS, I finish work at 9:00 am and don't start again 'til 3:00pm.
Plenty of battle time ;-).
Feel a bit sorry for my son, he has done everything perfectly, jumped through their burning hoops every time, until this last one.
Look out bureaucratic little grommets, the warpath is now open!
Truth is I'm looking forward to the battle, haven't had a good stoush in ages, I shall vent my spleen big time ;-)

I've bought an elf jumper too. The powers that be in the Uni in some distant office somewhere have granted we plebs a day of fun .... we can wear a fun jumper on Friday .... I thought how very dare they ... then thought ... why not .. it's a bit brighter than our dour uniform! You'll hear me coming ... large bell on my hood!
