I have around 3400 ancestors in my tree now after 3 years of work ... I have got this mostly from ancestry but a lot has also come from using genesreunited to track down others who are searching the same family lines and then double checking their research before adding it to my own. I also use an online tree to store my research which I pay about 15 a year for ... and this has allowed me to share with others and also has a "connections" search facility which has proved really useful in tracking down living relatives who are also creating trees ....... .good luck.

If ypu need to dig further than you have done ueisng the online sources you need to become a member of your local family history society
www.ffhs.org should list your county society, you also will have to find out which County Record Office (s) you need for researching Wills before 1858, manoral records, parish records, quarter seesion records and land tax assessments, tithe maps and earlier census returns than 1841 (census returns date back to the 1600s). |

sorry the link was wrong:
http://www.ffhs.org.uk/ By using your local reference library you will also have access to their local studies collection which is invaluable if you live in the area your ancestors lived in as you can search the published town and county directories there amongst other local sources, especially local newspapers. |
