just looked in my dt phone book, no rodgetts but 6 bashalls and one of them is in walton, j.r. bashall, 340c higher walton rd, 01772 335885
You may well have already done the same googling that I've just done (which suggests that your name might well be Annette!), Petal54 but I'll post anyway:

The following burials are recorded at the parish church (St Leonard's) in Walton-le-Dale:

Tibby Rodgett (widow of Miles Rodgett), of Darwen Bank, Higher Walton, aged 87 years, on 11/11/1875

John Rodgett (son of Miles Rodgett), of the same address, aged 56 years, on 15/08/1877.

OMG the bashalls lived at Farrington Lodge, my OH just did some joinery work there! it's just up the road.
all the MIs for St Leonards have been recorded and published so my library at the end of my street should have them on microfiche actually, might go there first just in case it is raining....
