Playstation 3 Or Wait. . .
i am strongly thinking about getting myself a ps3 with some money that is burning a big hole in pocket.... Though i have heard a rumour that their is a ps4 coming out... What would you do, hang on until the ps4 or snap up a ps3 now?

ps4 is not coming out untill ages so get a ps3 ive got 1 and ther well worth it

Next Gen Next generation consoles (PS4 or Xbox 720?) wont be appearing much before 2010 at the earliest so you will have a while to wait

Get a 360 instead, better games, better online services, more consoles sold so more people to play online against and it doesn't look like a George Forman.
Plus, it's cheaper. Unless you really want to play Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy which are exclusive to PS3, but they both suck anyway IMO :)

As Pieman65 and Phantaxus correctly state the next batch of consoles aren't due out for ages so go for an Xbox or PS3 now. The XBox is great for games and online play whereas the PS3 is more of an all in one home entertainment system with BluRay and wireless streaming all as standard. It totally depends on what you want it for!

The PS4 is way way off think 2011-12, at the very earliest.
I've got a PS3 and 360, and would say get a 360. PS3 is good but not really worth the money. There is a price drop expected soon.
Major gripe I have is that you can't play PS2 games; the 360 can play most of the popular Xbox titles.
Graphics are better on the 360; don't believe all the PS3 hype. In the future I would expect the PS3 graphics to surpass the 360, but at present the only advantage the PS3 has is that it can play Blue ray movies. The 360 is a lot easier to write software for. Developers are having a hard time writing for the PS3 and therefore haven’t unlocked the potential yet.

try to get hold of a ps3 60gb . you can play all playstation 1 and 2 games

Yeah,I would love to get hold of a PS3 60gb,as I have quite a big collection of PS2 and PS1 games..
I'm not sure where the best place is to find one.
I could look on eBay,perhaps.Is there any alternative to eBAy I wonder.
