Torrents?

I head someone say on a previous question that you can download games from the net if you search for then and put the word "torrent" after the title.

Whats this all about? Do I need to download a program that runs them first?

Can anyone let me know what I need to do?

I have this game which I have played for years but it's all scratched now and I want to play it again!!!

JackDanielsU		(Thu 23:09 05/Oct/06) A torrent is a file that can be a picture, film, game etc. It is used by file sharing programs, so new films etc will be easily available...less so if they are old Websites like torrentspy.com is one. Very easy to use, but of course is in the area of not being 100% legal
Mattk		(Fri 00:17 06/Oct/06) Many games are downloadable but if the game you are after is fairly old or rare then it is unlikely to be available.also,bear in mind that if it is a console game then it wont work unless your console has been chipped.
