rumble pad and dead space

i have bought and installed a wireless rumble pad , it has been recognised by my lap top but doesnt work on the pc version of dead space, on the game you have to destroy an asteroid field but try as i might myself and others cannot get past this section of the game with the mouse being used, several friends have got past it on the x box using a pad so i bought one in the hope it would help me pass the asteroid field but no joy so far, any suggestions? schiehallion (Fri 18:26 29/May/09)

bongoboy		(Sat 22:11 30/May/09) The pc version is only compatable with the xbox for Windows gamepad. No other gamepad will work i'm afraid.

vibrasphere		(Tue 16:46 30/Jun/09) the trick with this is to concentrate on the asteroids that come towards to the centre of the screen, you can leave the majority of the ones left and right and still survive. that is if you have not already figured that out
