I want to cook three joints of ham at the same time. They each way about 1.5 kg - do I treat them as if they weigh 4.5 kg?

no cook as 1.5 kg
No...cook as normal.
Treat as individual weight not combined.

Not sure if you are simmering and then baking. If simmering give them a stir from time to time to rejig and ensure even cooking, if then roasting ensure they are are well spaced.
