I'd like to make a stew with both in but am unsure which is the best fish to use. I'm guessing that a white meaty fish that doesn't taste strong would be the best so which ones have you cooked together and which fish would you recommend?

Never heard of one, but why dont you just put some cod plus chicken in the pot.

Sounds expensive. Is there a similar yet cheaper fish?
Eels taste like chicken
Coley
Crabs and lobsters are cocks and hens, is that chickens enough?

I'll just ask the fishmonger for his advice but otherwise I'll just get a bit of cod, foley and eel and maybe leave the chicken out. Okay Thanks!

## Eels taste like chicken ##

So do Frogs Legs, so that sounds like a good recipe.
I would use Basa(frozen bags from Sainsbury's). Quite meaty fish fillets and not expensive.
There was an outcry some years back when chickens had been fed on some kind of fish product and tasted 'fishy'.
It sounds like a bad combination to me, better simultaneously make two stews in two pans, then you won't end up with the worst of both.
Dorado is like chicken in texture and does not have a very strong fishy flavour
you should be able to get it from a good fishmongers ,they sometimes call it dolphin fish but don,t worry it is not related to dolphins

Baldric, are you really suggesting the Prime Minister has a dedicated alarm clock winder and setter?
I don't think I would ever combine chicken and fish in a stew but then I'm not a great fan of fish, it would spoil the chicken for me.
Are there really recipes for it???
There's chicken and seafood in paella.
Have you considered Parrot fish as an alternative?
