They listen intently to what you want them to do with your hair.....and then they do the exact opposite!!!Grrrrrr

i want green hair
I have found precisely 4 in my entire life who do what I want. One was the girl next door who was trained and working from home - I moved house. One was a bloke with his own salon - then I moved house again. One was a friend of a friend - she had a baby and stopped working. The other is my current one whom I tried merely because she was local. She's very good, not snotty, sees no reason why I should 'look my age' through my hair, but is very honest if she thinks a cut won't suit me or my hair type.
I love my hairdresser - she does exactly what I want.

The instructions I gave her

"Messy feathered hair - not too short and longish bits back and side - must be able to just ruffle it up whilst drying and mustn't look like a hairstyle"

And she did (and still does) get it exactly right.
Nothing as dreadful sexy jag as hairdressers who give you a sensible hairstyle for your age!!

Mine isn't snotty either and I feel perfectly relaxed when I go. Great!!!
i hate going, can't stand it they makle me take my glasses of and i can't see what they are doing
A good stylist will tell you how they intend to achieve your request. If you dont understand their lingo they should produce a picture for your approval.
^ LOL, I hate that too, the put the mirror behind you and ask "is that OK" and I always have to reply "I have no idea as you've taken my glasses"
Ha, ha!!

The worse part for me is actually having blonde bits put in. The foils didn't give the effect I wanted so now I have to sit there in a skin tight rubber hat with a plastic bag over the top of it, and to read whilst the colour takes I have to put my glasses on over the top of it all!! ;o). Very flattering!!!
Mcf...wear contacts. You cant cut hair properly with spectacle arms around the ears.
my rather attractive hairdresser just totters around me wobbling her boobies in me face, on me shoulders and up and down my back.

sometimes the haircut is so bad i have to go back to her within hours for another go.
LOL ^
I hate the fact that a haircut for a bloke is about 8 quid and a basic haircut for a woman is about 20 quid :s
lol....now you can see what dumb clients there are :) Dont go for cheap stylist (you can cut your hair free at home) but take a recommended stylist for training quality.
You should worry 'baldy'...
"Messy feathered hair - not too short and longish bits back and side - must be able to just ruffle it up whilst drying and mustn't look like a hairstyle""

= Mullet!!!

;-)
i dunno, longish bits at the side is against the mullet way of thinking

long at the back, short at the sides, now your in mullet country
oh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
