Hiya,

Just had a sniff of a bottle of red, I think it smells a bit wrong and tastes a bit funny, (it's my mums and she last had a swig of it saturday week ago). Snags is making a spag bol and we want to add the wine but not sure, I reckon it'll be ok as it's going to be cooked... What do you think?

Cheers!

Don't use it

That bad eh? I thought it might be ok for cooking as long as it wasn't cloudy or obviously mouldy.
"she last had a swig of it saturday week ago"

From the bottle? Then don't use it.
It will make your spag bol taste rank

Have you got any balsamic vinegar? Use a slug of that instead
If it doesn't smell right, don't use it. It could impair the spag bol taste.

Nah, she did drink from the glass... She's a lot more refined than me... Will tell snags. I found a yahoo answers thing that said it would be ok :-S
It'll be ok, but it might be a bit vinegary, it'll most likely not kill you.

Cheers dears... will go and inpart advice accordingly. :c)
I'd be more worried he might slip a kitten in there.

The amount of noise my mums cat makes, I'd probably help him skin it... And I like cats. Poxy thing.
Cat wouldn't taste good in a spag bol - it tastes too much like rabbit meat
Question Author
Better as a pate starter maybe?
Good idea.
Dont waste any part of it - make yourself a Davy Crockett hat with the skin

And a matching muff... I'll go find a hatchette... Not sure how easy she'll be to catch on crutches though ;0)
I'm sure Snags could fashion a tasteful merkin out of any leftover pelt.
lol

On a serious note, I'm sure the 3 weeks will pass soon. xx
Or you could play catapult kitty ;o)
BTW, I thought a hatchette was a hole in the wall between the kitchen & dining room....popular in the 1960's?
Question Author
Ha! I had to google merkin... Attractive thought!

No doubt Mrs O, I'll be up and bitching about work in no time :c)
