I have a box of "Ebly" - which is the brand name of the stuff you're after. I got it from Waitrose, but I think you can get it online from Ocado.
I think you can buy Elby in pretty much any supermarket.
...and it helps if you get the name right.....EBLY, as I said.
Oh yeah, my box was round the wrong way in the cupboard when I looked. :-))

So ebly and spelt are one and the same?
Well, spelt is wheat and Ebly is wheat and it looks like pearl barley, so... yes!
Sharpham Park produce pearled spelt. Some of their products are stocked by Waitrose. For other stockists, enter your postcode here:

or buy online from Natoora:

I wonder why it is so difficult to buy. I saw that it is available via Ocado but I cannot justify purchasing one item from them - I will have to use barley as an alternative.
Ocado source all of their products from Waitrose. If Ocado list a product you should find it in your local Waitrose store.

Thank you Chris! My closest stockists is 4.7 miles away, that is actually not too far (via public transport)

But they are not the same. Ebly is durum wheat, while spelt is a far 'older' grain that pre-dates modern wheat varieties.
