what time do you have your first drink

Never have drunk on a regular daily basis. Doesn't occur to me. Take slurps out of the red wine bottle when I am using it to cook with and drink wine with meals perhaps once a week. Drink spritzers when I go out and lager with a curry. That's the extent of my alcohol intake these days!

Never before 6 p.m. However it's always 6 p.m. somewhere in the world and I prefer the internationalist approach to the narrow provincial one.

I try to hold out until 6pm.

Working from home, it's too easy to think "Oh, what the heck..." and open a bottle mid afternoon.

Depends...who I'm with, if the kids are here or not etc etc.

I usually open a bottle of wine when I'm cooking dinner. I don't guzzle though. A bottle, which is the equivalent to 3 large glasses, takes me about 4 or 5 hours to drink.

If we haven't got the kids then we start early and stay in the bedroom (watching DVDs)

hardly ever, it's not something I need on a daily basis. OH will go to the pub for an occasional beer in the afternoon if he happens to be home and nothing else beckons.

I enjoy a sherry most days , while cooking the dinner before serving it up.
I dont always think to have one while watching tele all evening though

There seems to be a load of alcohol in our house that has been there for years including three bottles of belt malt whisky, a bottle of gin (we both hate gin) and two bottles of vodka. All unopened.

There is always some lager in the fridge and a couple of bottles of red wine and some white wine for cooking.

Neither of us are ones for popping down the pub - may be because we haven't got a pub to pop down to!!

When my OH is away I dont drink much but when he's home its like a holiday so I am currently have a cheeky glass to go with my ingin bridie :) He isnt so looks like he is just my excuse for a blow out (steady lol) ;)

Sometimes have low alcohol red wine Saturday evening if not going out so about 7pm during meal.
