I try to have salad every lunchtime/dinner
I agree with B00 ...

You can't have a salad on its own (except as a Starter!)
Surely "salad" is actually a contraction of ...

... "side salad"
Yesterday I had baked oyster and scallop salad...if I wanted it for a main I would have used more oysters and scallops and probably a baked spud or bread.

Cooked oysters are the way forward....Fluffy..you must try them :-)
I'm gonna have to start gettingback into to salads again..my jeans starting to pinch..
4get i'm not eating sea snot however you try to dress it up :-)

have you tried cooking bacon till its crispy then breaking it up and addig it to pot salad, its lush i want some now!

No coz its a chicken salad jogger :-) My salads are lovely tasting
ummmm ... would scallops go with a baked potato ?
But it was lovely Fluff....it's not like snot when they are cooked...
Oh, 4get ... that's okay ... !

A chicken salad is well on its way to becoming a Chicken Caesar.
Jayne...yeah. Potatoes go with everything.
I make a meal out of salad....several types of leaves like rocket and spinach, cherry tomatoes, spring onions or red onion, warm sliced chicken or grilled prawns or smoked fish or maybe felafel, olives or sun-dried tomatoes if they suit, baby mozzarella cheese, some humous on the side.......basically whatever takes my fancy. I fill a large bowl, andI am stuffed when finished....so it is definitely substantial enough as a meal.
