halogen oven

Has anyone bought one of the small Halogen ovens that are being advertised at the moment and what do you think of them.Do they do all what it says on tv.? Asda are out of stock at the moment but would like some feed back on them first. Thanks

Yes thanks for replying I have watched and read all about them but just wondered if they do all what they say ok as some products are all blown up out of proportion then when you buy them it's a different matter.

my sister an i have one, nearly nine months now and i must say it' s fab, pir piri chicken comes out great, aswell as pizza, i cld go on, we hav cut dwn on using the microwave,
i have yet to try baking a cake. i wld say money well spent.

Thanks for your replies .I did read that they do not come with a recipe book so is it trial and error or can you tell me roughly how long a chicken would take. I am waiting on Argos to get them in again.

it all depends on the size of a chicken, but small chicken takes abt 20 to 30min, one advantage is that you have a full view on wats been cooked, t.c

Hello again thanks I would think that timing would be similiar to Fan assisted ovens maybe a little less .Am I right?

Hello again been a few weeks but you might look back on this . Well not long after I had your reply Argos on line got them in. I wish I had bought one long ago .They are fantastic and I have been experimenting on lots of things.
