I remember them ...never bought them
as they were expensive ...where they
out in the the 80's ?

They were around in the early 70's cos my mum would sometimes buy them at our village shop. They were very expensive but so good ! Very sickly with lots of butter cream and I remember the ones with the chocolate buttons on top. Yummy.

Google Kunzle Showboats and there are loads of items about them including a web site to J Lyons who took over production from Kunzle. You can see pictures of the cakes.Oh I loved them .
