Cooking times in a conventional oven

In a conventional oven providing I believe as long as there is space between items, such as chicken breasts or baking potatoes, two, four or six will cook in the same time as one. I have asked this question to a number of people and end up getting different answers depending who I talk to.

well...yes and no. In my oven (gas) about one shelfload will all cook in the same time, but if the oven is full it will take longer.I think that this is partially due to the varying areas of heat in a gas oven and that in a fan oven there should be no diff between one item and an oven load
