Trying to eat healthily, I brought a big bag of cous cous, not those already prepared and you just add water.
Now having got no weighing scales for food, how can I gauge how much dry cous cous to per fluid ounce of water.

Thanks for your answer.
Yes I really must buy some scales. But the trouble is my kitchen counter is littered with a juicer, blender, toaster, kettle, percolator. There is just no room!
funnygirl, page 715 Argos, 2.99, I have them and they are tiny but functional, the base fits inside the weighing tray, so they condense to no size at all, I just shove mine a drawer.
Funnygirl - I just use the same amount of liquid (water or chicken stock, etc.) as I use of cous cous. So if I used a cup or a coffee cup or a bowl or whatever, I would use the same thing to measure the cous cous and the liquid. Then pour the water into a pan, bring it to a boil. Stir in the couscous, cover it, and remove from heat. Let it stand for 5 minutes, then immediately fluff with a fork - otherwise it will clump up on you.
