why dont they put pork into pet food?

I wasn't aware they never put pork in pet food but its a very difficult meat for many animals to digest, I used to keep a lot of ferrets and they would eat raw flesh all the time but was always warned never to feed them pork as it could kill them.

Very high in fat and salt and not really good for dogs and can cause pancreatitis.They used to reckon it could give them worms.I have never given a dog pork as a meal .
Shaney gets a tiny bit of bacon or ham now and again but I would never feed him pork.

my cat likes a bit of boiled ham, but my friend told me that pork can make them ill
