Thinking of getting a frozen turkey tomorrow ready for Christmas, enough for four generous portions. What weight turkey should we get please?

I'd get a medium size turkey crown Smurfy. If you only want four servings, a full bird will probably be too large.

I've bought a crown and it weighs 1 kilo 1000g.

How big in kilos do you think??

I'd say around 2kg maximum. It's what Asda call a medium crown. Costs £14.00 there (obviously other supermarkets are available).
