This is never ending. I had my 4th consultation today, and my new dentures are still not ready !

Apparently, one of the "impressions" didn't work properly. But I have been promised, without fail, that they will be ready for my next appointment, on Saturday, 22nd of December.

So I have good hopes that I will be ending the year not having to look like Uncle Fester any more !

You have to keep your mouth still for a few seconds Mikey. (^_*)
Out of curiosity how much is that setting you back?
Mikey, 22nd Dec isn't a Saturday. Are you sure that's what they told you? I'd be worrying a bit more.

Togo....lol !

Ummm....I am lucky to have a NHS Dentist, the same one that I have been going to since I was 15/16 years old !

I have had 2 fillings, 1 extraction, and these super-duper new teeth, and its coming to the max that I can be asked to pay.....£190.......(I am not sure if that is the same in England)

Considering all the work going into this, and this isn't the 1960's, I consider £190 to be not too bad.
Snap! I had my 4th visit yesterday for the final fitting, after a long wait I was called in and told they were lost! The technicians had finished them and returned them to the dentist, the dentist hadn't seen them. Three more impressions taken, another appointment made, and now I've got my fingers crossed.

Perhaps there is some comfort in knowing I'm not alone Mikey.
Lol, Jo, it made me check as I have an appointment on the 22nd.

No Jo....my mistype....its the Friday before Xmas !
That's a brilliant price, Mikey. It cost me £95 quid to get 1 tooth sorted and that was years ago.
Ah, good. I hope everyone gets their teeth sorted for Christmas:)

Ummm...get thee to a NHS Dentist is my best recommendation.
Will do. There's plenty locally that take on NHS it's just, you know, I friggin hate them!
What with your teeth and Boaty's bathroom....I despair.
Get yer self a set of these beauties, mikey. They should see you through until your next dental appointment ;-)

I'm getting partial dentures top and bottom first time ever for dentures . Just got the top one. Bottom one will be February to give me time to get used to having one denture first before I get two. Private cost would be £1500 NHS cost would be £440 but as I am on Pension Credit it costs me zero, wife is getting a full set of new dentures as well cost again zero . So that's £3000 worth all for free.
Lend us a tenner towards my next filling Eddie.
^ Unfortunately Pension Credit does not leave me much spare cash.
I have 12 Grandchildren and of those 5 have birthdays in December, my youngest grandchildren twin boys are 6 today. So this is by far the most expensive month of the year for me. I search charity shops all year for suitable items for birthday and Christmas gifts.
that's a good price, mikey, but obviously it would be a better one if they could do it on the due date.

I trust they have all the latest technology
