I know that not everybody likes cats - and I understand, they can be annoying little critters. But today is International Cat day and I thought that I would post this clip. It shows how agile cats are. ☺☺

Ah yes, where would the internet be without postings of cats?
Two things I love about that, one is the way they do that little winding up movement and the second is the incredible faith they have that they're going to make the leap.

Great stuff, ta Wolfy :-))
you know you shouldn't laugh....
and then you do!

I think the laughing is due to human revenge on getting clawed by the darling little furballs.

My two are now 12 - not ancient but slowing down a bit. Neither of them is very athletic. Princess Merlin doesn't walk down stairs - she throws herself off the top landing and bounces a couple of times.

Merlin shot past me on Friday night and got outside the flat without me noticing. It wasn't until late Saturday morning I noticed - she doesn't get up until lunch time so I wouldn't normally expect to see her.

My neighbour found her on the doormat and took her in - when I went to collect her she looked so sweet and innocent. I was never so relieved to see someone in my life. Anyhow she screamed constantly for a few hours and now we are back to normal.

Cats !
oh, lawdy, yes, the screaming !!
(jeez, once they start, they forget to stop.)

The kitty was quite cute before he found his volume switch, nowadays, at 4 am, it's lost it's cuteness.
every day is international cat day....

I can't remember when I last got up during the night to go to the loo without a feline escort. On the way back from the loo they are every hopeful that I will accidentally go down stairs and past their food bowls.

I should have adopted a dog instead of these two. Life would be simpler.
they are very good at ambushing as well as trying to trip you up when going down stairs.

Biting the hand that feeds them......
Thanks for sharing that wolf. Really brightened the day!
Fascinating creatures. So funny at times. Also a bit spiteful........

Lol!...these are cats-in-training, right?
I had to stop eating due to serious risks of choking...

Wish I could put dear, darling Casper outside...the little monster has been howling all morning...grrrr.
Great post Susan :-)
Thank you for this

I am just amazed at how spectacularly misjudged most of them were. Loved how the kittens scattered - I wonder if that was meant to be part of their training?

patsy - that link didn't work. Maybe the person who posted it didn't mark it for public viewing.

pasta - the ear bashing that I got after Merlin spent a night with the neighbours was awful. She bashed poor Frankie too. If Casper got outside accidentally he would ensure that you were punished for months to come.

Helewel - I find that cats are either totally loveable and goofy or driving you nuts.

Mamy - the little bum wiggle? Usually they also have a serious look on their face, then they jump and fail.

Alba - your boy is a mere baby in comparison to mine. Think of all those years of slavery ahead of you.

Fluffy - I hope Murphy is well. Is she doing the Triathlon? Felix the cat at Huddersfield station did a sponsored walk. She also brought out a book and tried to bite Jeff Stelling from Sky in front of TV cameras.

Anne - you must be wise, you have a dog. My first dog was a Bullmastiff/GSD boy dog - many times the size of a cat but a total coward. Very protective of me though.

Lie-in King - are you related to this guy? http://www.conservationtravelafrica.org/Data/Projects/15/ben-lion-hair-3__zoom.jpg His name is Ben and he often wears such a dodgy haircut.

Goodgoalie - how else would all the crazy cat people manage to get together? The internet was made for cats!

I hope that is everybody. I am off to work out which food will be acceptable - the new food bought today or the stuff that was 'poisonous' yesterday.

Toorak - you sneaked in at the end. It is amazing that, after a matter of weeks, kittens are ready to take on the world and destroy curtains.
I'm not a cat person, but I love the relationship Wolfe ( Susan) has with frankie and merlin, you obviously adore them :-)
Great post Wolfe, I laughed but I also felt every bump for them.
Wolf...I'm ashamed to say Casper did get out twice. Years ago, I forgot to close my bedroom windows...and he FELL out. I'm so embarrassed admitting this as it makes me sound a terrible cat mum. :-((. Fortunately he was unhurt...a hedge cushioned him.
Windows are never opened now...
Wolfy @ 16:25 - "...dodgy haircut"? Great fringe, that is! ;-)
