Sexy Salads????

Any suggestions for interesting salads for a gathering?

Will knock up a beetroot, watercress, feta and candied walnut salad with a dill and pomegranate molasses dressing.

Just trying to think of something else that won't scare the natives but is still interesting. Any ideas folk?

I've been out of the kitchen a while and my inspiration has wandered off.

roasted baby courgette, sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes and shallots roasted with a balsamic vinegar, left to cool and served on baby spinach leaves with a blue cheese crumbled on top

Pesto with pinenuts and pasta

chicken and bacon mixed into a rice salad with a mango and chilli dressing

I was wondering about doing some sort of griddled courgette type thing and other stuff with a lemon and tahini dressing.

Seeing the picture and reading the recipe are doing little to settle my stomach at the thought of such an abomination!

I am surprised the ubiquitous raspberry chipotle dressing wasn't trotted out, I think I'd have preferred it :-(
