I've made a chicken pie and have enough mixture/ pastry to make another one to freeze. Would you just roll out the pastry , put on top of pie and freeze raw or would you cook it first?

If it is fresh pastry freeze it uncooked. If you have used frozen pastry, cook it first before freezing.

Why the difference Togo?
I'm assuming it's because it's not recommended to refreeze the pastry again.

Ah ok. Yes it's frozen shortcrust pastry. Didn't even think you couldn't re freeze it tbh.
It's a recommendation, I wouldn't think twice about ignoring it.

I can be a bit hung ho in my own kitchen though!

Haha Boo you were correct. It is "recommended that pastry is not re-frozen after defrosting. But it will be OK to freeze again after cooking.
