I have just had two enormous doorsteps of toasted Cheshire Cheese with lashings of black pepper.

Carbohydrate, fat and salt, with a bit of protein thrown in. Not terribly healthy but utterly delicious!

What's your scrummy, fat laden snack?

I occasionally eat cheese on toast but I only like a small amount of cheese.

Besides the odd burger I have, which is usually when I'm in an airport, I don't think I really eat fat laden snacks.

Yesterday for lunch I had a pint o prawns and a roll.

I don't eat fat as a matter of course either, Ummmm.

This TC was a rare treat. Oh, it was lovely.
same as you tilly only with brown sauce
Bacon, cheese, and tomatoes Tilly. Tinned tomatoes of course with the cheese on top of the tomatoes, and the bacon pre grilled and arranged around the edge of the plate . All back under the grill will a couple of rounds of toast or preferably a couple of oatcakes.
Toasted cheese is my absolute favourite snack, I can always eat that, preferably with very mature cheddar.
If money wasn't an option I'd eat things like lobster, scallops and prawns on a daily basis.

I am currently loving homemade fish and chips. I've just ordered some dried marrowfat peas so will be attempting my own mushy peas :-)
Bacon and fried egg butty for my, I'm rather generous with the salted butter but cut the rind off the bacon. Which is a bit like going to a take-away ordering a cheeseburger, fries and a diet coke.

Togo, that's not a snack, that's a meal. :-)

I can eat four oatcakes in one go. :-(

Jambutty, I would have thought that yours was a .....jam.....butty!
Question Author
No brown sauce for me, ael. It spoils the taste of the cheese.

Bacon and egg butty? Yes, Arksided, another lovely treat.
I've just had 2 (yes2) toasted, egg and bacon, muffins. Brown sauce. It is cold and raining up here so I thought....... why not.
Was the ? for butty. I'm a Yorkshireman... Tea-Cake to the rest of the planet ;-)
At the moment strawberries with piles of sugar and loads of double or clotted cream.
I didn't used to like grilled cheese on toast when I was a kid. Somehow it seemed to intensify the flavour beyond the point I found pleasant. But tastes change and although it is very rare I have it now, I think it's great. Maybe my tastebuds are less efficient on my older age and I need the stronger flavours. Aside from that, I tend not to have fat laden snacks; I'm desperately trying and failing to lose weight already. Well except when I'm presented with something high fat by my woman that is. Weekends are bad for the diet.
I suppose a tuna melt would be one, but in reality it's not that fatty as it is bulked out by the protein.

Otherwise cheese rarebit but I rarely make it as its a bit of a faff for just one and I have bad memories of once breaking a bone in my wrist making it.
...how? ;o)

How did you manage that, Eccles?

No, Ark the ? was just a confirmation really...... as in, 'Could I eat a bacon and egg butty?' Yes, I could!
Question Author
Our evening meals tend to be low fat. We eat a lot of chicken and an awful lot of fish.

Trout and wholemeal pasta last night.

Don't let the rarebit topping go cold in the pan with a wooden spoon stuck in it. Whilst waggling the spoon to get it out it suddenly released with my thumb smacking into the rim of the pan and causing a small fracture in my wrist. The bruising and swelling were most impressive!
