We're pushing the boat out and having baked beans on toasted cheese and jalapeño bagels, with shaved Parmesan on top, lots of pepper, and brown sauce for those who want it.

Had some cold chicken with some French stick bread and a little bit of cheese on the side. Sounds a bit sad compared to everyone else's!
Who was it on here that used to do a wine of the week ? I discovered a fantastic Malbec from Aldi on one those threads
No Eve -a little bit of what you fancy lol! If I didn't have to cook for the family I would be having snacky things like bread and cheese with pickle,I'm not a great lover of dinners to be honest.

How about a Caribbean trifle made with chocolate cake, chocolate custard, Cointreau, fruit of your choice, topped with cream and crushed Cadbury flakes?
Eve, that sounds very tasty, I love French bread with bits of cheese, etc., saves cooking too.

The one that has been doing its rounds in the UK, my sister had it pretty bad in March/April - three weeks to feel half-decent.

Hi ethandron, I don't drink much vino these days, what with working so many hours.

I'll probably go for the King Prawn Noratoba tonight (king prawn keema bhuna). Either that or the lobster (giant prawn) bhuna.

Actually I don't just miss your wine recommendations, I miss your general input here, along with a few others.
I don't drink as much wine as I used to myself either, trying to look after myself a bit, not getting any younger..and neither is my liver!

Woofy, I just love bagels, their chewy texture really hits the spot. And you can never go wrong with a glass of fizz can you ?
Caviar is a bit posh for a Friday night isn't it Talbot? Any particular reason?
