To scratch or not to scratch? Sometimes a scratch seems to relieve it, other times inflame. Then, if you're not supposed to scratch, why does it itch? And goes on for days sometimes? Anti histamine helps but not always handy.

Yes it doesn't do any good to scratch does it? It was some kind of huge mozzie bit through my sock which you never feel at the time, but I saw it. I didn't touch it for hours thinking it would go off but gave in and had a good go. Now it is weeping a bit. Mozzie bites can get really nasty of infected, so I'll try to leave it alone now!

thanks Jordy xx ..a spritz of cold water might help ?
Please dont scratch it Vee... If you look at the link below you'll see a couple of pictures of my arm from last year... The result of an inspect bite. Made me a little poorly :o(

mazie looks nasty..what didi it ?
Not sure Minty but it was really bad. massive dose of antibiotics sorted it out... I see you've been swinging from the chandeliers again ;o) Get better soon x
those damned chandeliers !!..lol...me own blummin fault...don't wear clogs in garden
Mazie...that's similar to what mine looked like.
Painful aren't they ummmm? Mine developed into Cellulitis hence the antibiotics... Like you I still have the scar

Luckily mine wasn't painful but I could see my arm swelling. It was day 1 of the holiday and I thought 'just my bloody luck'

It went down about day 3. I thought it was the weeping that caused the blisters. Sun and liquid...
Don't scratch it !Get some Eurax cream which will deaden the itching so you won't need to scratch .
A few years ago two mozzie bites on my leg nearly caused me to end up in hospital with cellulitis.I had a leg like an elephants and it caused me a lot of problems and left my leg badly scarred.
