I was thinking that last night, during a sleepless period. I was saying it in my head in a scottish way but I might have got it wrong. How do I know that phrase? Was it in some film or television series?

Harry Lauder used to say it a lot, then the Scot from Dad's Army started his doom laden tales with the phrase.
