Giving it a test run tonight, but if it goes down well, will find its self on our christmas table. Cany argue with the value. Any Aldi fans out there?

Yes ...I buy a lot of their stuffed joints, Christmas 4 bird roast with cranberries and salmon en croute favourites....then there is the chocolate and wines ...
yes i go to aldi and lidl both are really good i save loads by going there ,got a turkey from lidls yesterday £9.
look forward to your critique,
I also look forward to hearing what it is like. We love most things from Aldi - except their sugarsnap peas which are very stringy, ham trimmings £1.75 are exceptional and always sold out!

We have only once tried a turkey crown - from M&S (in the days when we worked!) it was so dry and awful, filled with a strange apricot stuffing with herbs which flavoured the whole turkey so you couldn't taste the meat. I emailed them about it and noticed it wasn't sold again the following year.
Is the turkey crown fresh or frozen, so I know where to look. Thank you
I buy their stuffed, boneless ducks and pheasants. Very good but I really do not like the four bird roast - 41% chicken with added water, 23% turkey, 7% duck, 7% goose, 22% stuffing.
It's just off cuts of poulty wrapped round a big wodge of stuffing.
I'm a convert. AND I managed to buy lobster tails there yesterday, which I have been unable to do at any of the "big stores".
Don't mention their chocolate (the best ever) and their frozen lamb shanks - plenty of meat and gravy and a bone left over for the dog! Their chicken fillets are great (no added water), mince smells like mince, not like it has been sitting for weeks. Also their red salmon in tins is much, much cheaper and just as good. Dishwasher tablets too (cheaper than fairy or finish and does the job)
Agree with hc4361 their 4 bird roast is not that wonderful.
Hope you submit your valuation of the crown roast....
Don't mention Aldi's specially selected luxury mince pies – the cheapest tested by Which? at £1.69 for a pack of six – and they beat the likes of Selfridges and Fortnum's, whose £12.95 traditional mince pies came last out of entries put forward by a dozen retailers.
Just put Aldi in the search box on here, you'll find how many of us are Aldi fans. We loved their 4 bird roast and the salmon.
Aldi frozen tuna steaks are brilliant. Have never tried their meat. Fruit and veg is excellent if you consume it quickly - otherwise it dissolves into a putrid mess. Why don't they put sell by dates on their fruit and veg???
And as for their Black Forest Stollen....!
I hope jd has survived the turkey ?
Got to agree with diddlyo on the tuna steaks. Absolutely delicious and great vfm
Reckon Ed's doing an advertising deal with Aldi?....☺
I too am an Aldi fan. Part backed wholemeal rolls are delicious as is their chocolate (not the cheap one). They do a baked ham that is German and no amount of money could buy better. Washing up Liquid and Washing liquid think it's called Almat is as good if not better than all leading brands. I could go on but won't otherwise Ed will think I'm spamming.
Love Aldi, kids especially love their tomato sauce ;)
Are you trying to start 'Ketchupgate II' Sherr. lol
