Last year I bought an Aldi turkey crown (it was ok, but not super nice) after discovering the butcher had almost doubled his prices :(
This year I am torn between M & S, Sainsbury and Waitrose - the prices don't vary that much (and as it is the meal of the year I don't mind), anyone got any thoughts?

I'd go with m&s.
I roasted turkey crwn last year & found it good value as theres no waste. Since I buy mine late I take wots going, at huge discount
Try your butcher if you usually get good meat and poultry from him. I expect he will be the same sort of price, if not cheaper, than Waitrose and M&S
I have turkey crown and no different than whole turkey .Baste it well I usually put butter under the skin in parts, No waste . Just ideal if you don't want to do soup with what's left .I got mine fresh on offer at Morrisons and is in my freezer now .Should feed 12 and cost £15. I just have 7 of us so there will still be lots left over.
