I'd have to borrow a cauldren off the coven to cook a stew with the amount of veg I've got at the moment:-)
Dice, chop Blanche and freeze
A warm salad of griddled courgettes, blanched French beans and cherry toms on a bed of leaves with a tahini dressing is lovely.

Runner beans in a tomato and onion sauce, think of a simple Tom sauce for pasta.

Runner beans with apple and shaved fennel, handful of walnuts and a lemony, olive and walnut oil dressing.

When you say pumpkin, do you mean Halloween type or a specific squash variety.

Turnips, braise in stock and butter with thyme.
have a look and see if any of the coven are around, they may give you a loan of their cauldron :)

Good stuff there eccles, cheers. Most of the coven must be out testing their broomsticks:-)
Aren't you the lucky one then carrust, prepare and freeze for use later on,or alternatively set up a market stall lol.
LOL @ rusty.
I forgot to add for courgettes...

Cut length wise scoop out the seeds with a teaspoon. Season and drizzle with a little oil and bung in the oven for ten minutes. While they are in the oven crumble some feta into a bowl add a handful of breadcrumbs, crushed garlic, a touch of lemon zest and juice, splash of olive oil and finely chopped mint along with seasoning. Mix altogether and spoon into the cavity of the courgette bake for a further 10-15 mins or until golden.

Char grilling and drizzling with pesto or balsamic vinegar is good too.

I've just picked a bucket full of beans tonight....even the neighbours are fed up with them!
you could display them on a table somewhere suitable and let people ' help themselves''
Sell them?
If you have a good rolling boil in a large pan and a bowl of iced water along side I have found you can successfully blanch and freeze beans. You just need to be careful to not let things go to far.
Question Author
They'd probably nick the table & you're not allowed to sell allotment produce in my city:-(
Send it to me :-)
Question Author
I should have added that the freezer is full of blackcurrants & goosegogs:-)
rusty, you could make wine with the fruit !.
