Comfort Food

OK, maybe I should've put this in F&D, but not as many would've seen it. Just been watching the Hairy Bikers on Comfort Food, so I'm wondering what's your favourite comfort food? It doesn't matter what culture/nationality you are, or whether it's sweet or savoury, or whether you're young or old(er). Let's have it....Mine is Bread & butter Pudding.

Bacon and cheese with Staffordshire oatcakes. It takes me back to my childhood.

first of all, I HATE bread and butter pudding!

comfort food, mashed potatoes, soft boiled eggs scooped out of their shells and dropped on top :o)

Breakfast, Bacon(crisp streaky) sausage egg and potato bread, rare treat does it for me

It reminds me of my childhood. I still make it and I love it. Also, though, Heinz baked beans with sausages (the little ones, in a tin) and home-made chips. Yum!

Big bowl of pasta in sauce with heaps of cheese.

Something like pie or sausages with jacket tatties in gravy.

Would avoid bread and butter pudding at all costs.

I like crispy bacon and egg with brown sauce in a nice floury breadcake. I'm feeling so hungry now.
