What would you do?

I fancy a lasagna for our meal tonight & I've got a large 'Findus' one in the freezer. normally we quite enjoy it with garlic bread and a fresh salad.
But... do I eat it or throw it?
It seems such a shame to throw it. I Dunno what to do.

I know it won't kill us but the mere thought there could be Horse meat in it gives me the shivvers.

Throw it away.
if you can't bring yourself to eat it ,then you're obviously gonna haveta bin it. Personally I'd eat it, I can't afford to throw food away.
only just found this. I cannot believe all the fuss. until everyone new there was horse meat in these products was there a problem and was anyone ill. Not as far as i have heard. it is ridiculous that all this good food has been wasted, all the super markets had to do was put labels on saying may contain horsemeat and sell it at a reduced price . Then if you didn't mind eating eat you could. Did anybody really belive that all the meat was beef like you would eat for sunday roast because if you did you are living in cloud cuckoo land, what a lot of it is is the left overs that cannot be used in any other product
I've eaten horsemeat when out of the UK, no probs, but if you really don't like the thought, bin it!
I'd eat it, they haven't killed anyone before the current hoo-ha so don't see why they should now.
I would never have bought it in the first place but having bought it, I would eat it.
I'm not squeamish about eating horse or any other type of meat providing it can be traced and is certified clear of drugs and was raised in a responsible and ethical manner.

Therefore, because there is a mystery surrounding where exactly the horse meat came from and you have no way of knowing for sure what is in any Findus product, I would chuck it.
Just eat it, won't do you any harm.
There was a mystery about where the horse meat came from before this all blew up, so what has changed................eat it.
I'm sure most of us have eaten horse meat along the way, and never known it though.
If you love eating Lasagna, eat it and enjoy it.
I finding eating maggots would be much much worse. lol
The problem is not that it's horsemeat. The problem is that the actual proveneance of the meat is unknown-it may be fine, but if say it is from former racehorses it may very well be full of drugs/antibiotics that do not belong in the human food chain.
I think they have now decided it came from horses , Crafty.
I'd eat it Jem. I've had loads of Findus Lasagnas in my time and has it affected me?

Naaaaaaaay.
But pasta people have probably been unknowingly eating it for years. If there was going to be a health problem it wouldn't just rear it's ugly head now, just because we know it's neddy.
^^ My point exactly, Pasta.

I quite like horsemeat, but I like to know it's fit for human consumption.
You're not going to enjoy it so just bin it.
take it out to your nearest paddock, if it trots off no problem if it don't then cook it.
they did point out that to be affected by the drugs/antibiotics you would have to eat around 500 ready meals in one day, I suspect they have been using horse meat for years so its as dangerous to eat now as it was 10 years ago..
@2sp -you have horses yourself and like eating them -oh sorry but I can't get my head around that.....
I think if you did eat it you would be thinking that it tasted odd even if it didn't. Personally I'd bin it.
