The bottle of Rose I opened earlier had a brilliant label. Its called Chat-en-Oeuf
Guess what is on the label, a drawing of a stripey cat with it's back to you with it's tail hanging down sitting on an egg.
How brilliant is that?

Their website isn't short of feline references either, Carndrog:

I think that's enough.
In spoken French does that sound like Chateau Nine?

Thanks for that, it's going to keep me occupied all night, looks fantastic.
Well I typed your username correctly but it didn't come out that way! (I'm suffering from the 'missing characters' problem reported by some ABers).

If you like catty things, try a visit to Amsterdam. I went here earlier this yer:

I am a real cataholic even though I don't have one at the moment. Mine died and I found it too upsetting to have another but I get sorely tempted. I only ever send cat cards. I will browse that one with pleasure.
Hi Carandog, when we got our first house I desperately wanted a cat so we rang round every rescue place that we could find. I was looking for somewhere that only had one cat that needed a home so I wouldn't have to choose, struck lucky and didn't have to leave any cats behind.

Thanks alwaysconfused, my cat was a tortie and not mentioned in the listing.
Hi Sher, I got mine from rescue, she was a gorgeous tortie called Shelley, we also saw a ginger kitten with brilliant blue eyes, we got him the next week, He was called Beethoven (They had a classical bent in rescue centre) Now he was stone deaf,I couldn't see me shouting at the back door Din dins Beethoven, he couldn't hear it any way so we changed it to Keats (kept the theme going) He was a devil, walk along sideboard, look at ornament swipe it to the floor then walk off.
Heard horrendous banging at cat flap, he was coming in backwards trying to drag a squawking half dead pigeon through with him.
He was taken away by some yobs and left a few streets away, he got run over as he couldn't hear traffic. Local children told us about them.
My Shelley was with me for 13 years, she contracted feline leukemia and died shortly after. That was 10 years ago, still miss her, not got courage to have another one.
I've had many cats with different personalities - clever, daft, pretty, ugly (that wasn't their names, I'm not that cruel!) Two that lived 17 and 18 years, others less and one that didn't make it past two years old. My favorite was my persian. He was the daft one, thick as a plank but very amusing. Refused to go outdoors for the first 12 years. I even tried him on a harness. Hit his teenage years and that was it! Out and about, sniffing out neighbours delicacies. At least three families in the neighbourhood thought he was theirs! We moved when he was 16, and went back to his sheltered self. It broke my heart, so I went to back to one of the families and asked if he could remain there, obviously offering to foot food and vet bills etc. He lived out his life happy.

I wouldn't feel bad for having another cat as it was circumstances at the time and the right thing to do for my puddy cat (although I missed him dearly)

AC I have had many cats too. My previous one was another tortie called Muffin lovely nature had her 14 years, she just vanished, spent weeks searching and putting up notices, never found her. I would love another one, I have arguments with myself about holidays, kennels, expense of an animal. I may give in one day.
going back to the wine caran the label looks good but what did it taste like ?
happy new year to you when it comes .
