"Best before" dates

I just dunked my ginger nut and happened to notice the "best before" date on the packet was for 31/8/2013.
They're 'avin a larf! They'll be lucky to last out the week.
Then I got to thinking. What's the longest "best before" date you've noticed on something?

I never have food long enough to investigate BBD's, food has a nasty habit of getting eaten in this house.

If I make a cake or biccies at home they last untill they are eaten, which is not long and I dont put a date on, but I have bought biccies with at least a year on, also breakfast cereals sometimes have long dates.
