I had quesadillas for lunch and will continue the south american theme later when we have steak with a chimichurri sauce, griddled courgettes and new pots in a chilli and lime butter. I'll start off with a completely inappropriate salad of pears, blue cheese and salted caramel almonds.

Tomorrow it's classic roast chicken, roast spuds, flat beans and shredded spring greens with onion and lardons. I have some apples that need eating so a crumble or tarte tatin might make an appearance too.

So what about you guys, what's on the menu?

What is this constant quest for wanting to know what people are eating?

It baffles me.

Perhaps on special occasions, but these threads are almost daily.

Because many of us take inspiration from the kitchens of others. No doubt Sqad you couldn't find you kitchen with the aid of a map and compass as Mrs Sqad is their to serve you as and when required and you have no need to venture 'downstairs'.

;-)

Apologies for shocking typos/grammar.....and even worse mentioning Sqad 'going downstairs'....
Eccles........LOL.....got it in one.
Going out for a meal tonight, so no idea what I'll be having yet. Tomorrow dinner at Mum & Dad's, so it will be a nice roast of some description !
My bf is making a bolognese from scratch. A recipe that he was given by a chef a few weeks ago and it is SO lovely. It has to simmer for 3 hrs and it is a long 3 hrs I must say as it smells so tasty. we will have garlic bread and olives too. Possibly the same tomorrowor we've bought a pork joint for a roast dinner if we've polished the lot off. :O)

Lucky you Chaptazbru, no cooking for you this weekend!!!

I love spending time in the kitchen but I also like having others cook for me, be it friends or heading to a restaurant.
I don't mind cooking now and again Eccles, but it's nice to have a weekend off every once in a while isn't it ..... x
I had a baked sweet potato for lunch.

Dinner will be scampi, chips and peas.

I need to go shopping....
jenarry. have a good eevening meal both of you, spaghetti bolognese is my third favourite meal
Roast turkey, roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, for lunch. Had to go racing at Newmarket to get it ; they have a carvery. Only good reason for going in the drizzle. Didn't learn anything from the racing.

A slow cooked ragu/bolognese sauce is a thing of beauty. It's also one recipe where I do not deviate too far from the authentic.
