mixed fruit jam

i have just turned out the freezer and found a small bag each of blackberries, cherries and rhubarb, if i cooked them alltogther would it make successful jam? would i have to add a lemon? advice please.

you usually have to add lemon (juice is just as good) as the pectin stops it being too runny.
Lemon affects the acidity - it does NOT increase pectin levels. You may have to add pectin (can be bought in a bottle) to prevent another disaster.
...if lemons were a source of pectin, commercial lemon marmalade wouldn't need it added for a satisfactory set.
adding a few cooking apples would prob help,!) you also need a larger proportion of fruit to sugar for frozen fruit 10%
I think rhubarb would supply the necessary acidity unless being in the freezer spoils it. You wouldn't need a lemon as well. I'd give it a go, you can always use the result as stewed fruit if it doesn't set.
hmmm a quick google suggests varying theories about lemons and pectin. TBH I was answering from my mums jam making experience as I've never made any.

Ooooo, id make a mixed fruit crumble instead.
As I said, if lemons were a source of pectin, manufacturers wouldn't need to add it (check lemon marmalade label).

thats an idea Boo, i think i will go for the crumble, and there will be enough to do one next week as well, thanks for your replies everone, will keep in mind an case i have the same thing happen again.
