Hi,

I cooked a gammon joint in Cider and now it is done what can I do with the liqure now?

Is it only fi for the bin or can I use it for some other cooking?

If it has a good cider tatse to it. Freeze it and use it as a base to cook pork sausage and apple casserole
Use it as stock for a parsley (or other) sauce to serve with the gammon.

I'll freeze it an use it at Christmas I think.
Use it as stock for soup.
Don't bin it, it's too good.
Just one question...was the gammon smoked or unsmoked? The main problem with any cooking liquor is that it will be very salty. Especially if it is smoked. I would say soup might be your best bet. If you use it to make pea soup and add a little of the gammon....yum. but be careful with the seasoning.
