We have had a barbecue and the last guests have just left. I am now relaxing in the garden with an extra glass of wine. It's lovely and quiet. Have you had a nice day?

Hi, Tilly......been catching up on the garden that went crazy when I was away......
A lovely evening now....calm and hot air balloons over the fields...x
I have had a lovely day getting through a list of jobs in the garden, helped by my lovely Labrador.
Now relaxing in said garden with a glass of red and listening to the birds. Thank you for asking.
Kernackered, my sister went to a Healey family cider party so they didn't get to bed until 3 and no Sunday lunch laid on.

The 'grass' cut, now 50 minutes instead of 2 hours with my radioactive lawnmower made of N.Korean ex-nuclear missile bits. Then I lifted its blade and shattered three times as much area that I thought I would, this heavy growth having already been blade strimmed. Result into a cool bath and my shoulders are killing me - nothing that some Ozzie Malbec won't sort out.
I've had a lovely day.

Balloons over here too :-)
Fab day for us picked the grandkids up from Edinburgh. Called to see the Son and his wife. Travelled back to Fife and took the children for lunch. Youngest and I are sitting in the outbuilding watching the swifts attending to their young. I have a glass of rather nice red. Hoping for good weather this week so we can hit the beaches :0) x

We are very lucky to have such pleasant days. Some people have less good fortune.

I'm watching a blackbird feeding its two young fledglings. They are darting in and out of the shrubs.
Lovely here too, Tilly.
Sat in the garden, chilling out with a couple of brews with my neighbor, just shooting the breeze.
The sky was cloudless with a half moon visible and the birds seemed to be singing with joy
So lucky here Tilly its very rural and come dusk the owls are out in the small wooded area at the top of our garden. Early morning we have a small (10) herd of deer come down into the farmers field at the front of the cottage. I so love living here.
Done everything I wanted to get done iver the weekend. Got my 3 year old GS asleep on the sofa next to me while his family are out at my 7 year old GD ballet performance. He has been behaving much much better lately.

Mazie, can I come and visit? :-)

What problems have you been having with the GSD, Sam?
quiet day as OH at work till 1800 hours, from 5am,he had a better day than last shift,2hours shorter& home earlier for same run to London.eldest 'child'(39) out, youngest here, sunshineso good
I'm unfamiliar with the concept of "an extra glass of wine". I just keep going until I stop (possibly because the vineyard is empty).
Having lived nearby for a few years at Uni, mazie lives in one of my fav areas of these sceptred .......would love to move up a little bit east of where she is, Anstruther, St Monans, Crail, just above the towns and into the hills.
It's been very hot all day, does a little bit of sunshine and a breeze put anyone else to sleep? It does me.
Question Author
Jno, the extra glass is one more than anyone else is having. It's that one you drink when all your work is done and you can relax.
Question Author
No, Ed. It's just you. You must be worn out.
jeez, sceptred isles....how did I lose that?
Its been a glorious day today. Not too hot, a lovely breeze, and SUN!
I walked the dog, did a bit of shopping, sat in the sun with my kindle, and walked the dog again in the evening sunshine. A nice lazy day.
