Beer And Aggression

Can anyone explain please why the "speciality beers in a bottle" would make a person more aggressive than if they drink spirits or wine? Could it be the malt in the beer or some other ingredient? The beer could be 5.1% alcohol, the wine 12% and the spirit 40% but the beer makes someone more aggressive, does anyone know why it should be? As a rule and not mixed, 3 beers consumed or wine could be half a bottle, same as spirit yet beer brings out the aggression full on, a puzzle to me.

it doesn't. people who get violent when drunk are the same regardless of type of drink. what makes you think otherwise?
Who says "speciality beers" cause aggression?
I understand that carbonated drinks enable the alcohol to be absorbed faster than still drinks?

Agree the aggression is already there but there is definitely a change in personality when having drunk that type of beer, even as opposed to draught or can beer and definitely between that and other drinks. Wondering if as woofgang mentioned, that it could be because the beer is carbonated. However it is for real that type of beer works differently on me than any other alcoholic drink as noted by myself and family members. I am not drinking it anymore but wondered why it has that effect on me.
I find that different types of alcoholic drinks have different effects on me. Wine makes me very mellow whereas beer makes me more lively.
Vodka used to make me aggressive. Barcardi makes me puke. Lager gives me heartburn. Wine, when I'm out, has a tendency to make me cry :-)

Alcohol effects everyone differently...
i'm no scientist but the active ingredient is alchohol. i'd suggest you're different reactions are 'in the mind', lol.
eg, ummmm liked vodka so much she guzzled bucket-loads ergo pissed up and aggressive.
zacs pretending to be suave and sophisticated, no doubt to impress some bird, sips his wine, ergo feels bored and mellow. let off the leash with the lads, swigging beer, surprise, surprise, feels happy and lively.
they are scientific facts, they are.
I know Stella Artois is also known as "Wife Beater"

Svejk. You may have a point.
Alcohol may affect judgement and thus allow one to ignore common sense feelings of staying calm but ultimately a change of personality isn't the alcohol so much as the expectation of what it will do. If some folk become more aggressive when drinking a particular beer it will be because they expect to and so make less effort to control themselves since they already think they can be expected to act that way.
Of course you have to match the quantity of alcohol consumed for each case you compare. Beer does tend to be quaffed in quantity.

I don't know about bottled beer in particular but when I was a regular drinker, if I had 4 or 5 pints of Stella or any premium lager, I was more argumentative than if I drank the same quantity and strength of real ale.
all in the mind^
If someone had bought me lager rather than real ale I'd be argumentative with them too !
Stella is looney juice

My OH convinced me of that Elvis!
why were you drinking lager, bajdrick.
hot and bothered?
couldn't get real ale?(which annoyed you)
Marstons Pedigree makes me profound and introspective, Old Speckled Hen just makes me giggly, they both make me drunk, but the "side" effects are totally different.
