Hi there. I'm buying an Islay malt whisky as a gift for someone who likes the peaty/smokey (or even seaweedy?) ones. Which is the better whisky - Laphroaig 10 year old or Ardbeg 10 year old? I can't decide between the two.

thanks!

Going slightly off subject I was in my local Tesco pricing the whisk(e)y looking for a treat and I noticed some Old Pulteney with a yellow special price label I couldn't believe it,they'd reduced it a whole penny from £33.50p to £33.49p.
I'm beginning to wonder if stewey really is extracting the urine, he's foreign after all, isn't he?
Hi Stewey - Crown Royale (with Ginge) is it tonight and not the pub or the local floozie?
In my local real ale pub 4 deep at the bar. A woman decides to sample all the beers taking her time about it. She point to 1 and says, "can i have that one with lime please." AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHHHH
Tescos went one better with their cat food last week, a can of Whiskas for 59p or 6 for £3-65.....?

Go for the Lagavulin and forget the Laphoraig, Kitty.....
Lime in real ale? Maybe she's stewey's girlfriend :-)
I'd have shot her LOL
Maybe Stewey had the lime in her.....her name, Margarita.....
