Boy #2 has had his braces removed and has a clear retainer to use. Is Brace Brite the best thing to use or is there another (cheaper) product that he could use? Also, I’ve seen UV sterilisers, would this be better? Thank you :)

Sterident is perfectly acceptable, and may be cheaper.
I started using Steradent (well Tesco brand) after years of expensive Retainer Brite. It works just as good and only costs a quid a tube

Excellent, thank you both - the Brace Brite stuff is really expensive.
My grandson also uses Steradent to sterilise his retainer.

Thanks Maggie.

The orthodontist must know that Steradent works just as well but only puts Brace Brite on the advice letter - that would cost £180 over the two years he needs it for.
At first glance the question read..Sterilising a Remainer..sounds like a plan...:-)
Bit long term though.
sherrardk you can also use baby bottle/teat steriliser such as Milton tablets. Sure supermarkets will have their own brands too.
