I've been feeling really sensitive recently. I'm also feeling nauseous almost all the time. It's not at any specific time of day but i've just eaten dinner and it's worse than usual. I've realised a change in the size of my boobs and they're more painful recently. My boyfriend has also commented on my nipples being darker which I havnt really noticed myself and I've felt faint alot and generally just not like I usually do. I recently had a period that lasted 2 days (they normally last up to 5) and it was unusually light. I've looked up my symptoms and i'm worried it could be ectopic pregnancy. I had extremely bad cramping during the first night of my period which kept waking me up during the night and I've had the occasional sharp pain in my lower abdomen and around my stomach area.. Any ideas?

Same symptoms as me and i found out a week ago i'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant. BUT having said that, til you've done a home test and had it confirmed by your doctor then you also may not be pregnant. Also, you can do 3-5 home test and they all come out negative then on the 6th one it could be positive, just depends wether a certain hormone in your body is strong enough to be picked up by the home pregnancy so early. Dont stress. My situation is far from ideal but if you are pregnant and you decide to keep the baby things will work themselves out.

Good luck, i wish you the result you want xx
Trixy's advice is spot on - my mum had light periods throughout her pregnancy with my brother, which is rare but can happen. You may or may not be pregnant, but I wouldn't rule it out. Hope whatever happens it all works out okay x
The only way you will know is by doing a test. When was your last period prior to the short one you had?

If you are pregnant, the pains you are getting could simply be down to your body changing in preperation for baby growing so dont worry about that. The first to do is take a test.

I have also thought of 2 other symptoms i've experienced. The glands on my nipples seem more prominant and a yellowly brown colour and ive been urinating more frequently. I'm guessing its pretty likely i'm pregnant? sorry to ask so much but I'm worrying and can't get a test until tomorrow.
Havent you got a 24 hour supermarket like tesco near you? If not, the best thing you can do is try and get some sleep for now, not eay at the moment I know, but there really isnt anything else you can do without a test.

What are you hoping the result will be?

No unfortunately not. i live in a village and don't drive. I'm not sure really
Have you spoken to your boyfriend about it?

Just try and stay calm and relax and have a chat with him. Go get a test as soon as you can to find out one way or another.

Good luck and let me know how it goes.

thanks x
Hi emma, have you managed to get a test today and done it?
Question Author
hi..no not yet as i dont think i want to see a negative sign come up
I had 4 negative tests before I had a positive. This is because it takes time for the pregnancy hormone to build up enough to show on a test. For some women, it builds up faster than with others which is why some can get a positive test on the day of missing their period and others dont get a positive for longer ie a week later.

If you take a test and it is negative and you continue to not get your period, do another test after a few days. Keep doing this til you either get a positive result or your period. If you miss another period and still get a negative test, go see your doctor.

Good luck.
bite the bullet and take a test. If you are pregnant and the last bleed was just implanation bleeding then you will be coming uo to the time when youd need to be booked in to see midwife and also get on lists for scan at hospital.
