Slightly damp in Bromsgrove this AM. I hope we didn't get too much rain in the night, or my little flame-haired beauty won't be getting a walk in the woods today.

As I type this, a little grey squirrel has just walked past the window and now he's on top of the fence staring in at me....

Not sure where WBM is this morning, but should he turn up, please ignore this morning thread.

Aha !

Well good morning to you, DrF. I'm just making my 3rd cup of tea. Did I mention I was a tea-a-holic? I really keep meaning to get some decent tea bags, but when I went to Morrissons in Rubery yesterday, it was utter chaos and I just got out of there asap. There were 2 women having a proper scrap in the foyer, though, which made for rather entertaining viewing. Btw... I talk a lot.
i am on my 4th since 3-42am

Good heavens... you were up with the lark this morning. I love your avatar, btw. That would look great in a frame.
up just after 12, gave up at 3-42 when next door came home and the dogs started
Question Author
Considerate neighbours you have there, DrF....

My neighbours are all one big family, including my landlady. Deep joy.
when he gets in the house the dogs stop. the neighour across the road must have come home at 3, because i heard the gate click and wondered why the dogs did not bark then he came home at 3-42,
weekend, so more people are out having a drink

Yeah, I guess with the World Cup on, there would have been far greater numbers out drinking last night. I went to the Talbot in Belbroughton for early doors yesterday, and they've got a beautiful, big beer garden. They'd put a widescreen out there and positioned some lovely comfy sofas and plenty of tables and chairs in front of it. If I hadn't had the car with Alf in it, I could happily have stayed there all night. :-)
Good morning NoM and DF - the sun is just breaking through on the south coast
wbm had the best idea get out on the water :)
Question Author
Morning ttfn. Whereabouts on the South Coast are you?

I'm contemplating my next cup of tea.... but I was wondering if I should be totally obscene and have a coffee this time??
morning ttfn still raining here in droylsden
Coffee NoM - it has kept me company all night. I am in Bournemouth just 2 miles from the sea.
Hope it is not too long before the sun reaches you DF
Question Author
My aunt's MIL lives in Bournemouth and says it's lovely down there. It usually takes them 3 to 3.5 hrs to drive down from Hereford.

Are we due some sun today? I must confess I've paid very little attention to any weather forecasts in recent days.

DrF... where is Droylsden, exactly?
stopping , will go out for papers soon , can see blue sky between the rain clouds
Morning NM, DF and ttfn. Here I am! Been rather busy this morning. It has been raining during the night, but the sky was clear, so I went up to the top of the hill to see if I could get a decent shot or two of the dawn. Clouded over didn't it ;-( Complete waste of time! Such is life. Still overcast now. Typical!
see you later, if not have a nice day
I think so NoM - should be a drier week ahead but not all that warm - still heading in the right direction hopefully. Well I am just out to get my newspapers - just 50 yards away, thankfully. Catch you later - have a good day both.
Just caught me wbm - good morning
