For some time I have been feeling fatigued/lethargic a lot of the time. Ive never slept very well but this feels more than just some sleep deprivation. I had to attend a meeting this afternoon and it took all I had to prevent me from closing my eyes and going sleep. Also feel short of breath and occasionally nauseous (on the bus home I nearly had to get off because I felt disorientated and sick) Have checked my blood pressure and that seems to be ok.
I haven't drank for some time, I'm not currently smoking and I'm eating a diet high in veg, fruit and salads. I'm drinking loads of water and avoiding caffeine.
I'm doing all the right things and feel like cr @p.
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks.

Whats your protein and carb intake like?
Sounds a bit like detox.
perhaps your sugar levels are low .I'm diabetic and feel tired a lot
see the doc... maybe need a supplement of sorts ??
Ask doc to check blood white cells. I have suffered for years with CLL
(Chronic Lymphoid Leukaemia). When I get a build up of White Blood Cells I am always shattered because they destroy some of the Oxygen carrying Red cells.
Go to the GP and tell them what you've told us. Maybe some blood tests are required.

Thanks for quick replies all.
Ive put off asking this for a while but I really don't feel too good at the mo.
Re: carb/proteins, I'm not currently consuming too many animal based proteins, trying to cut down on meat, and dairy. For the past couple of weeks my main foods have been cereal, fruit, veg, nuts, seeds and salads with a couple of rounds of wholemeal bread and/or potato or rice (per day)and a bit of cheese or egg.
I know that I'm going to have to see the doc sooner or later just trying to get some info first. I'm feeling quiet disorientated at the moment, a bit frightening TBH.

Also been going to the toilet a lot (number 2...) but put this down to eating loads of fibre.
off to the quack..he'll probably take bloods in the first instance
Nails..With the distinct lack of sunshine since last August you may need vitamin D tablets...generally the shortage results in the symptoms you describe.
Have you lost any weight?

//off to the quack//
Going to have to I think minty, don't like going the docs unless I absolutely have to.
Thanks Ryzen, didn't know that, never had this b4 tho despite our sunless climate.
Question Author
I have actually Tills, why?
Only because it sounds as if you're maintaining a successful, healthy eating regime. Nothing sinister, Nails.
Sounds a bit like anaemia to me, either buy some iron supplement or (sorry) go to the docs and have a blood test.
Does it coincide with your dietary changes, has it gotten worse with them?
In spite of "plant based diets" being flavour of the month now, not everyone will do well on them. Maybe the changes you've made don't suit you, or you need a period of adaption.
Do see your doctor.
I wouldn't feel too well on what you are eating.
Question Author
Healthy eating regime Tills?
If this is healthy eating I'm going back to burgers, chips, ice cream and kebabs.....
agree it sounds healthy enough but you may be changing too much too suddenly ? body going into shock kind of thing ? see quack just to be sure
No doctor, but your symptoms sound to me like classic symptoms of depression and stress.
You said
'I know that I'm going to have to see the doc sooner or later'
...better to go sooner, rather than later.
Question Author
Cashier, anaemia did occur to me but that doesn't count for the dizziness, nausea and disorientation (at least I don't think it does, I'm no medic)
Pasta, I'm beginning to be inclined to agree with you. These feelings started weeks ago tho b4 my dietry changes.
