hi everyone. right where to start.....
i have been faithful every since i gotten into my relationship 2 years ago. yet i have been cheated on in the past, by an ex it was horrible!!....Back 2 months ago i went on a night out with my girlfriends and a few boys from my area (football boys) i was also out with my cousin (male.) My boyfriend at the time was out having a drink with his friends in town.
i did get drunk in all fairness, and wanted to leave the pub early as i was getting extremely tired & one of the football boys was asking what would he do if he kissed me :S. i couldn't wait to get from there!! None of the girls wanted to go home even though it was midnight, they decided to leave me go home alone.
As i was out having a ciggerette before i left, one of the football boys (a friends boyfriend) said he wanted to go home also as his girlfriend was up waiting for him... so we decided to catch a taxi and split the fare as it would be cheaper for both of us. On the way home in the taxi he put his arm around me (i was very sleepy and cold by the way) NOTHING happened. NO kissing, sexual contact, NOTHING. i got out of the cab right outside my home.
But ever since i cant help but have a guilty conscience? did i do something wrong? my mind isn't at rest. Was he just being friendly? i hope so!! im worried as i don't want to mention anything, i don't want to wreck his relationship with my friend, and i don't want my boyfriend thinking more went on.... :s
i'd be extreamley greatful if anyone that has been in this situation to tell me what to do?? you may think i sound very daft. As a friend that i have confided in - have told me so. im feeling so depressed over it all, i guess im just the kind of girl whos feelings are everywhere.... :((

That last incident with your boyfriend must have been very upsetting - has he been to court yet or did he go to prison?

Hey Humbersloop. yes it was :( yes hes gone to prison. hes serving 18 months x

true jenna. i been going out of my mind!! i even went as far as typing it into google lol. alot of girls said on there they class a 'hug' as cheating :s so it had me thinking. i havnt been able to concentrate on work either. :( xx

Assuming there has been no further contact between you, then your conscience should be clear. Don't beat yourself up about something that never happened, life's too short.

People will have different views, what you know matters. Acting as though you think you may be guilty of something could give off the wrong vibes and make people suspicious of something that never even happened. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

It sounds like he was pretty drunk and has therefore probably forgotten all about it. You should too. A hug is not cheating and anybody who says it is, is being ridiculous!

You'll only cause upset if you try and confess to something that all reasonable people would think is meaningless... However if you are over thinking it because you would have liked to go further then maybe you should reconsider your relationship? What ever you decide to do make sure you do the right thing for your boyfriends emotions not just to make yourself feel better.

hi iggy, NOOO i most deffo wouldnt of gone further. Never! i just cant seem to figure why i feel this way about it. Its very strange... I have no feelings towards this other boy. It was the first time i actually spoke to him in person that night.. even though it is my friends partner lol. xxx
